Such a beautiful city!
4th July | 2022
This morning I went into the old town of Prague by tram. Already during that ride, I was impressed by all the buildings! Once in town, there was one building more beautiful than the other! All the decor and paintings! Amazing!
I walked the famous Charles bridge where some lovely live music performances took place.
After I had a poppy seed bun* and fresh lemonade at the historically Café Louvre I carried on walking ...
Now direction of old town square to see the famous astronomic clock.
After that walking toward the Jewish part of the town. Interestingly in that direction are all the luxury shops ... And again, they ask for a ridiculous entrance fee for a visit to the synagogue, which I refuse to pay!
I finished off my sightseeing tour passing by The Powder Tower to catch close by the tram back to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Tomorrow I will go just about 40km North-West out of Prague to stay with Pavel for some days. He will have some friends coming around as he will do a talk about the Albania Rally he recently finished. Are you also looking forward to seeing Pavel again - then just grab a beer and soon you will find here the next blog!
* I really love all the poppy seed pastry, all over the Balkans and the recent countries. It must finally be in my DNA as my grandmother came originally from Schlesien (now Poland) and always made fresh poppy seed cakes. However, as a child, I didn’t like the taste, but now I love it! Just a little side note ;-)
