KRAKOW
Meet Tuyce and Fatih

This morning I took it easy as the famous Salt mine of Wieliczka was just down the road and I only got the guided tour at midday. The weather changed again to warm, so it is back to the t-shirt and open vents ;-)
If you are ever in the area, please book a guided tour through the Kopalnia Soli Wieliczka (www.kopalnia.pl). The tour is about 2.5 hours and you reach 130m under the ground. Amazing what they have created down there, all these big and little churches! In case you want to visit a salt mine a little less touristic, there is another one, close by, in Bochnia.
Once back to daylight I had a little snack and then I drove to Krakow to meet Tuyce and Fatih (IG: ride2world). It was Pavels' recommendation to contact them - thank you! What a lovely couple. They completed their RTW-tour before covid, but their memories are still fresh about it! Tuyce and I went out for dinner to a nice Jewish restaurant in the hip area of Kazimierz.
The next morning, I went off to visit the important sights of Krakow, such as the Jewish Ghetto Memorial, Kazimierz, Wawel Royal Castle and the Old Town. Again, one house is more beautiful than the other! Even the old ones! I really enjoyed strolling around.
For lunch, we girls met to have some really good traditional Dumplings, yummy! On the way back home, the rain came! I was soaking wet within 2 mins, on a shower that lasted only 10mins! By the time I was back at their apartment I was bone dry again ;-) That evening I was to bed early as all that walking was 16km today; who would have thought!
Today was reserved for a bit of office work, relaxation and finding a print shop for new stickers. Actually, I started with the B2 visa for the US, but I am still in doubt about what is the best way for me ... Tuyce and I also arranged new stickers for each of us. Whilst we had a snack and cafe they were already done - Hurray!
In the evening we took it easy and it looks like they will join me tomorrow to go over Slovakia :-D So just lay back and relax also, and soon we will be in Slovakia!
